Summer Game Fest will return in 2026 with a new location! The event is scheduled for Friday, June 5th in Los Angeles and will be held at the Dolby Theatre.
For context, the 2025 event took place at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California. The Dolby Theatre, which hosts the annual Oscars, opened in Hollywood in 2001. It was formerly called the Kodak Theatre.
Geoff Keighley will produce Summer Game Fest 2026, continuing his role as the show’s organizer. He also runs The Game Awards, where director Josef Fares famously criticized the Oscars a few years ago. That comment feels particularly relevant now, as Summer Game Fest is moving to the same location where the Oscars are held.
