‘Suits: LA’ Casts Maggie Grace, Matt Letscher, Sofia Pernas, Carson A. Egan in Guest Star Roles (EXCLUSIVE)

As a long-time connoisseur of legal dramas with a particular fondness for “Suits,” I must say I’m thrilled to see the spinoff, “Suits: LA” shaping up quite impressively! The addition of Maggie Grace, Matt Letscher, Sofia Pernas, and Carson A. Egan to the cast is nothing short of a masterstroke.

“Suits: LA” has added four actors in guest star roles, EbMaster has learned exclusively.

Maggie Grace (known for “Fear the Walking Dead” and the “Taken” series), Matt Letscher (“Narcos” and “The Flash”), Sofia Pernas (“Tracker” and “Blood & Treasure”), and Carson A. Egan have signed up to be part of a new NBC show. This series is a spinoff from the popular USA Network legal drama “Suits.

The quartet has been added to the previously revealed cast members, including Stephen Amell, Lex Scott Davis, Josh McDermitt, Bryan Greenberg. Additionally, it’s been announced that Gabriel Macht, known for his role in “Suits”, will feature in multiple episodes of “Suits: LA”.

The official logline for the series states:

Ted Black (Amell), a past New York federal prosecutor, has transformed his career, now representing LA’s elite clients. However, his firm is at a critical juncture, forcing him to assume a position he despised throughout his career. Ted finds himself surrounded by impressive individuals whose allegiances are put to the test as they grapple with their personal and professional lives intertwining. Meanwhile, we gradually discover the circumstances that caused Ted to abandon everything and everyone dear to him years ago.

I’m captivated by the portrayal of Amanda Stevens by Grace. This character is a beacon of self-assured intelligence, embodying a pro bono lawyer who strategically leases office space at Black/Lane law firm to enhance her prestigious presence for her independent practice. Financially well-off, she chooses clients who are otherwise underserved. Her professional paths may cross with Ted’s, creating an intriguing possibility of the mutual attraction between them that remains unbound by workplace ties.

Let’s consider the character played by Leschre: He portrays Ted’s father, who is depicted as strong yet emotionally distant, maintaining control through fear and intimidation. This father figure has pushed Ted away due to his mistreatment of Ted’s brother Eddie (Egan). Despite having performed acts that are unforgivable in Ted’s eyes, this father continues to yearn for a connection with Ted, but Ted firmly rejects any such interaction.

Pernas will play Elizabeth Smith, who is said to be “a powerhouse attorney in the District Attorney’s office. Elizabeth goes head to head with Ted in a high-profile murder trial. Smart and no-nonsense, and up to the task, Smith proves to be a formidable opponent who has more than a few tricks up her sleeve.”

Lastly, Egan takes on the role of Eddie Black, Ted’s brother. This character is portrayed as affectionate, humorous, and caring, with Ted leaning on Eddie’s warm presence more than Eddie leans on him in return.

Grace is represented by Mosaic, Gersh, and Jackoway Tyerman; Letcher is represented by IAG, Principal Entertainment LA, and McKuin, Frankel & Whitehead; Pernas is managed by Zero Gravity Management and Innovative Artists; Egan is represented by Lucas Talent. (This version maintains the structure while using more common phrases for representation.)

The new season of ‘Suits: LA’ begins airing on February 23 at 9 p.m., both Eastern and Pacific Time, on NBC. The show will be streamable the following day on Peacock. Aaron Korsh, the creator of ‘Suits’, serves as the writer and executive producer for this series. Additionally, David Bartis, Doug Liman, Gene Klein, Anton Cropper, Genevieve Sparling, Rick Muirragui, and Jon Cowan all act as executive producers. UCP is the production studio behind the show.
