As a seasoned gamer with memories of countless adventures etched deep into my gaming soul, I can’t help but feel a surge of nostalgia upon seeing the opening videos for the upcoming Suikoden I&II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars. My heart beats faster at the sight of those familiar titles, reminding me of the countless hours I spent immersed in the world of Genso Suikoden.
Konami recently released trailer videos for the forthcoming launches of the high-definition remasters of Suikoden I & II: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars. When players start up these upcoming role-playing game remakes, they will have the opportunity to watch these same videos.
There is a catch to the publications of these videos, though. They are uploaded on Konami’s Japanese channel, and Japan has a slightly different title for the series in Genso Suikoden. The English releases would simply refer to the titles as Suikoden, but Konami’s English channel has still yet to have such videos up as of this writing. We will update this article when such videos have appeared officially.
As a gamer, here’s how I would put it: “Mark your calendars! On March 6, 2025, I’ll be diving back into the world of Suikoden with the HD Remaster of Suikoden I&II: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars. These classic games will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
