As a long-time follower of Indian cinema, I can confidently say that Maddock Films has truly outdone themselves with their ambitious cinematic universe plan. Having grown up watching Bollywood films, I remember the excitement of anticipating each new release from this innovative studio, and the thrill they brought to the horror-comedy genre with “Stree” back in 2018.
Now, as a seasoned moviegoer, I can hardly contain my enthusiasm for the interconnected narratives that Maddock Films has in store for us over the next four years. With their knack for creating relatable and meaningful characters grounded in India’s rich culture and heritage, I am eager to embark on this journey through 2028 and beyond.
The thought of witnessing how these stories unfold and intertwine within a shared universe is truly exciting. I can only imagine the laughter, suspense, and emotional moments that await me in the cinemas during those years. And let’s not forget the joy of seeing familiar characters evolve and grow over time!
To top it all off, Maddock Films’ commitment to innovation and entertainment never ceases to amaze me. I can’t help but wonder if they’ve got a secret lab somewhere, filled with brilliant minds brainstorming ways to make every film even more unforgettable than the last.
On a lighter note, I can’t help but think about what it means for my social life – with this cinematic universe spanning over four years, I might just have to invest in some comfy cinema seats and a popcorn machine for my living room! 😉
India’s Maddock Films has revealed its most daring plan yet: a shared cinematic world blending horror-comedy and superhero storylines. This studio, recognized for distributing movies such as “Stree 2”, “Munjya”, and “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” in a blockbuster 2024, has announced an eight-film series connected to each other, with plans to release them over the next four years.
Starting from 2025, the movie lineup kicks off with “Thama” set for release during the Diwali festive season, followed by “Shakti Shalini” on New Year’s Eve (December 31). Moving into 2026, viewers can look forward to “Bhediya 2” on August 14 and “Chamunda” on December 4. The year 2027 brings “Stree 3” on August 13 and “Mahamunjya” on Christmas Eve (December 24). Finally, in 2028, the journey concludes with “Pehla Mahayudh” scheduled for August 11 and “Doossra Mahayudh” during Diwali, which falls on October 18.
Speaking about Maddock Films, its head Dinesh Vijan stated: “At Maddock, our aim has always been to create and captivate. We’ve developed characters that strike a chord with viewers, rooted in India’s vibrant culture and history. This strong bond has given our narratives not just a familiar feel, but also significance. Moreover, with an enthusiastic and dedicated fanbase, we’re now preparing to launch something extraordinary: a cinematic realm where iconic characters and their tales unfold as never before. We’re thrilled to embark on this adventure with audiences from 2028 and beyond – and the best is yet to come!
2018 saw Maddock Films making waves in the horror-comedy niche with “Stree,” a movie that significantly boosted the popularity of this genre within Bollywood. The unique mix of humor, supernatural aspects, and folklore resonated deeply with viewers, opening up opportunities for more such productions. This fresh cinematic universe represents a logical progression for the studio, as it intertwines characters and storylines into a cohesive, connected narrative.
Outside the realm of his horror-comedy world, Maddock is anticipated to reveal upcoming movie titles in various genres soon.
