MikeLiaory, a streamer on Kick and Twitch, has been banned from both platforms after a car crash he was livestreaming. He ran a red light and hit another car while on stream.
The event happened live on MikeLiaory’s Kick channel, but the channel is no longer available. Short videos of the crash quickly spread online after being combined with footage from another streamer, Lordhito, who came to the scene soon after it happened.
The video shows MikeLiaory driving in Los Angeles at night, filming through his car’s windshield. He comes to an intersection with four red lights, briefly stops, and then continues driving through it.
I was watching the stream when, out of nowhere, a car just slammed into the front of his! It happened right as he was driving through the intersection, and the other car apparently had the green light. The stream immediately went crazy – it was a really loud, shocking crash.
Streamer claims he ‘never saw the light’ after crashing car
After the crash, MikeLiaory said he didn’t see the other car and called the other driver a “fool,” claiming they were driving too fast.
He explained during his livestream that he couldn’t see the color of the light. He wasn’t even aware there was a light, and simply thought he was supposed to make a left turn.
Despite the crash, Mike was all smiles, even encouraging Lordhito’s viewers to follow him.
Both Kick and Twitch quickly banned the user after the video started spreading online. MikeLiaory’s YouTube channel is still up and running, but his X (formerly Twitter) account is now private. It’s unknown if his X account was made private before or after the incident.
Last month, Twitch streamer Melt and Kick streamer Marinotlive crashed while driving fast on a highway in Georgia, and the incident was live-streamed to their audience. Both of their accounts were subsequently banned from their respective platforms.
A Twitch streamer in Poland accidentally ran over a dog while she was looking at her phone during a live broadcast. The incident was widely shared online.
As of right now, I haven’t seen anything about the police investigating what happened with MikeLiaory’s crash. And honestly, I’m really worried about the other driver – there haven’t been any news updates about how they’re doing either.
