Netflix announces early Stranger Things Season 5 footage premiere
Netflix is giving fans a sneak peek of Stranger Things Season 5! They’ll be able to watch the first five minutes before the season officially premieres.
Netflix’s Tudum event will reveal a first look at the new season on November 7th at 1 AM GMT with a global online watch party. The livestream will include interviews with the cast, surprise guests, and exclusive footage, all broadcast live from the red carpet.
The last season of Stranger Things will be released in three parts. The first four episodes will be available starting November 26th, with another three episodes coming on Christmas Day, and the final episodes launching on New Year’s Eve. Netflix has said these first four episodes will be between 54 minutes and 1 hour 23 minutes long. If you want to join the online premiere, you need to register and share your favorite Stranger Things moment.
Stranger Things, a popular show set in the 1980s, first premiered in 2016 and quickly became a worldwide success. The series centers around a group of friends in Hawkins, Indiana, who discover secret government projects and terrifying supernatural forces from a mysterious place called the Upside Down. In the fourth season, Vecna (played by Jamie Campbell Bower) severely injured Max (Sadie Sink) but was defeated by Eleven. The upcoming final season will feature a climactic showdown between Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and Vecna.
The Duffer Brothers explained that production delays caused the three-year gap since Season 4 but assured fans it will be “worth the wait.” The upcoming episodes are titled The Crawl, The Vanishing of…, The Turnbow Trap, Sorcerer, Shock Jock, Escape from Camazotz, The Bridge, and The Rightside Up.
The global Tudum event will stream at 12:00 PM AEDT.
