As a huge fan of Stranger Things, I was thrilled to see the trailer for Tales From ’85 dropped! It’s a spin-off series, so it expands the universe beyond what we’ve already seen, and it looks fantastic.
The new animated series, Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, takes place between seasons two and three of the original show. It’s created by Eric Robles and executive produced by the Duffer Brothers, who also created Stranger Things, and will be available on Netflix next month.

The trailer for Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 returns audiences to Hawkins for a fresh story. Alongside the Duffer Brothers, Hilary Leavitt, Shawn Levy, and Dan Cohen also serve as executive producers on the show.
It’s winter 1985, and life in Hawkins seems to be returning to normal for Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, and Max. They’re enjoying things like Dungeons & Dragons and snowball fights, but a new threat is stirring beneath the surface. This terrifying mystery could be connected to the Upside Down, Hawkins Lab, or something completely unknown, and our heroes must work together to uncover the truth and save their town. This is a brand new story within the world of Stranger Things.
The show features a talented voice cast including Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, Luca Diaz as Mike, Elisha “EJ” Williams as Lucas, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Ben Plessala as Will, Brett Gipson as Hopper, Odessa A’zion as Nikki Baxer, Jeremy Jordan as Steve, Janeane Garofalo as Anna Baxter, Lou Diamond Phillips as Daniel Fischer, Robert Englund as Cosmo, Alysia Reiner as Karen Wheeler, Alessandra Antonelli as Nancy Wheeler, Valeria Rodriguez as Rosario, and Jack Griffo as Jeff.
The new Stranger Things animated series, Tales From ’85, will debut on Netflix on April 23, 2026. The series will have ten episodes.
