While filming a key scene for the fifth season of Stranger Things, Noah Schnapp unintentionally hurt one of the actors who recently joined the cast.
What Stranger Things Season 5 actor got injured?
Finn Wolfhard recently visited The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about the upcoming season of Stranger Things. While on the show, Wolfhard, who plays Will Byers, discussed some of the exciting stunts he performed in the new season.
“I have a tendency to go overboard with the stunts this season,” Schapp told Fallon.
One memorable moment involved a physical confrontation with Derek Turnbow, a new character played by Jake Connelly who joined the show in Season 5. Derek quickly won over viewers during his four episodes on screen.
In one scene, Will needed to physically bring down Derek. Noah Schnapp was told to run towards Finn Wolfhard and brake at the last moment to prevent a crash. However, Schnapp didn’t slow down and ended up colliding with Wolfhard.
Okay, so I heard about this crazy thing that happened with Noah Schnapp and Joe Connelly. Apparently, Schnapp was running around and accidentally tackled Connelly, pinning him to the ground. He said it was awful – Connelly scraped up his leg pretty badly and was bleeding. Schnapp was just mortified, kept repeating ‘Oh my god’ because he felt terrible for hurting him, especially since it was just a little kid!
Surprisingly, Connelly was in good spirits and said his stunt work reminded him of a well-known action movie star.
Schnapp explained that Connelly emerged from the hay and jokingly said, ‘It’s okay, Mr. Noah. I feel like Tom Cruise doing my own stunts.’
The first four episodes of Stranger Things Season 5 are available to watch on Netflix now. Within its first five days, the new season received 59.6 million views, making it the biggest premiere ever for an English-language series on Netflix.
The next three episodes will be released on December 25, 2025, followed by the 125-minute finale on December 31, 2025. The finale will be available on Netflix and will also be shown in over 500 movie theaters throughout the United States and Canada.
