As a huge Stranger Things fan, I was totally captivated by the end credits of the Season 5 finale! They had these cool illustrations that looked like something out of a game guide. And get this – there were map coordinates hidden in there, so quickly you could easily miss them! Everyone’s now buzzing about what they mean, with a lot of theories centering around what might happen to Eleven. It’s so exciting!
Okay, so Stranger Things is finally over! After ten seasons of crazy monsters and non-stop action, the very last episode dropped on New Year’s Eve, and honestly, I was a mess – everyone I know was crying! It’s so sad to see it end, but what a ride it’s been.
Season 5, Volume 2 built up to a climactic battle, with the Hawkins group getting ready to defeat Vecna, prevent the Upside Down from destroying the real world, and finally close the portal between dimensions.
Seems straightforward, doesn’t it? But, predictably, things don’t go as planned, and El’s life is now in serious danger. Be warned – spoilers follow!
Stranger Things Season 5 credits spark Eleven theory

The group successfully defeats Vecna and saves the world, but El appears to die during the battle. Mike believes she might have actually survived, and the creators, the Duffer brothers, have left it ambiguous, letting the audience decide her fate.
The confusing ending has led to a lot of debate, and fans started looking closely at the closing credits for clues. A map with coordinates appeared in the visuals, and some wondered if those coordinates revealed El’s current location. However, that theory has since been proven incorrect.
The coordinates 37°03’00.0″N 116°05’16.8″W briefly appeared on screen in Stranger Things Season 4. They were displayed when Suzie hacked into the computer system and found out where Eleven was located.
The Netflix series shows the location of the Nina Project’s desert bunker, but in reality, the actual location is given as a nonspecific area in the Nevada desert.

As a fan, I found it so cool to learn that the show is actually filmed really close to the Apple II House – it’s one of the buildings they used for nuclear testing way back in 1955! It totally makes sense when you think about all the show’s themes of government secrets and experiments, especially with the Cold War vibe. And get this – it’s not far from Area 51 either! It’s like they intentionally built the show around all this real-life mystery.
The theory that the coordinates point to Eleven’s current location isn’t true.
This small detail sparked a lot of conversation online, with one Reddit user asking, “Those coordinates shown at the end… what do they mean? Are they pointing to where Eleven is?”
Someone commented, “Good catch!” and the original poster replied that they had been very upset, but now felt hopeful and believed things would get better.
One Reddit user wondered if this was the start of an alternate reality game, while another asked if a specific location was meant to be where the character Eleven was located.

However, an eagle-eyed fan pointed out, “Nina Project coordinates from Season 4 I assume.”
Another wrote, “Google said ‘The Nevada Desert Lab in Stranger Things 4 actually exists (sort of).
The coordinates 37°03’00.0″N 116°05’16.8″W pinpoint a location in the Nevada desert, close to Area 51. This spot is well-known to fans of the show Stranger Things as the facility where the character Eleven was held – it’s at 37 degrees and 3 minutes north latitude, and 116 degrees, 5 minutes, and 16.8 seconds west longitude.
Mystery solved – but as for El’s fate, that’s for you to decide.
