Actor Steve Guttenberg, who played in “Police Academy”, is stepping up to aid evacuees by helping them flee from the destructive 1200-acre fire burning down Pacific Palisades.

As they were shifting stranded vehicles along Palisades Drive, Guttenberg stopped by a KTLA reporter to disclose their plans to make way for emergency services personnel and evacuees by clearing the roadway.

On Palisades Drive, it’s important for car owners to remember that if they step away from their vehicles, they should make sure the keys are left inside so we can shift the cars out of the way for fire trucks to navigate up the street. People seem to be treating this area like a parking lot and forgetting to move their cars when necessary. This isn’t just a parking lot; it’s crucial that vehicles are moved as needed.

Gutenberg, initially unnoticed by the journalist, commented further that he resides nearby and has acquaintances in the Palisades who are unable to leave because of abandoned vehicles blocking the roads.

People are stranded up there, so we’re working to clear Palisades Drive and I’m going as far as I can to move cars,” Guttenberg mentioned. “There are families, pets, and individuals who desperately need assistance up there.

Guttenberg went on, “There’s a massive fire up ahead, and we’re experiencing strong winds at the moment. It’s crucial that people look out for each other in this situation. What matters most is everyone coming together and prioritizing safety over personal belongings. Just evacuate. Make sure your loved ones are safe and get out.

Alert notices have been given out to everyone residing in the entire Pacific Palisades area, which encompasses Rustic Canyon, Sunset Mesa, and Palisades Highlands. Over 30,000 residents are being instructed to leave their houses immediately.
