Steve Carell and Jason Schwartzman Star as Billionaires in Jesse Armstrong’s ‘Mountainhead’!

Jesse Armstrong’s forthcoming movie, previously unnamed but now titled “Mountainhead,” marks his first project post the conclusion of “Succession” in 2023. This highly anticipated film will make its debut on May 31 at 8 p.m., and it will also be available for streaming on Max.

In the official synopsis, the movie “Mountainhead” unfolds amidst a global crisis that’s sweeping across borders. The story revolves around a circle of wealthy associates, with Steve Carell portraying Randall, Jason Schwartzman as Randall’s friend Souper/Hugo Van Yalk, Ramy Youssef as Jeff, and Cory Michael Smith in the role of Venis. Supporting cast members include Hadley Robinson as Hester, Andy Daly as Casper, Ali Kinkade as Berry, Daniel Oreskes as Dr. Phipps, David Thompson as Leo, Ami MacKenzie as Janine, and Ava Kostia as Paula.

HBO shared three preview images for the series “Mountainhead”. One image captures Carell, Schwartzman, Youssef, and Smith grinning in sunglasses and bright orange snowsuits, suggesting they’re having a fun moment. Another picture depicts the four actors appearing to engage in a serious discussion inside a luxurious house. The third photo offers a glimpse of a mansion perched atop a snow-covered mountain, enveloped by trees.

The movie titled “Mountainhead” began filming in Park City, Utah in March and will conclude this week. This is Armstrong’s first feature film, where he assumes the roles of both writer and director. He is also executive producing alongside Frank Rich, Lucy Prebble, Jon Brown, Tony Roche, Will Tracy, and Mark Mylod – all of whom have previously been executive producers for the show “Succession”. Additionally, Jill Footlick is also an executive producer.
