Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss’s Family Speaks Out Against Allison Holker’s Memoir

Allison Holker has received backlash for leveraging her late husband Stephen “tWitch” Boss’s demise to market her new memoir, and now the Boss family is expressing their disapproval. In an interview with CBS, Connie Boss Alexander, mother of the former dancer and Ellen DJ, along with younger brother Dre Rose, stated that their bond with Holker has deteriorated due to her book. Specifically, Dre expressed his discomfort with Holker’s portrayal in a January People magazine cover, where she alleged that Boss struggled with drug addiction and was sexually abused as a child. “I believe people should have the chance to share their story,” Rose commented. “However, I feel it was not appropriate how it was presented on the cover of a magazine, and there was a public announcement or campaign surrounding it — we shouldn’t learn about that through the media. We are family.

In a sneak peek for the upcoming interview on February 11th, Boss Alexander and Rose expressed their curiosity about reading Boss’s personal journals themselves. “I suspect that certain entries from the journal have been selectively chosen to disclose or discuss,” Rose commented, adding, ” frankly speaking, we should be open and honest about everything.

For the first time, Boss Alexander and Rose are publicly commenting on Holker’s memoir. Interestingly, Rose had earlier shared an Instagram post from Courtney Ann Platt, a friend of Boss, who also knew Holker through ‘So You Think You Can Dance’. Courtney Ann Platt criticized the cover of Holker’s feature in People magazine, calling it “the most tacky, classless, opportunistic act” she’s ever seen. She also alleged that Holker made family and friends sign confidentiality agreements to attend Boss’s funeral and has been disrespectful towards Boss Alexander throughout this time.
