Steam is currently experiencing issues, preventing many players from accessing their games. Users are seeing errors like “Something Went Wrong,” connection problems, and messages indicating the service is unavailable. This appears to be a lingering effect from today’s server maintenance.
Steam is down
Hey everyone, just a heads-up if you’re trying to jump into some games – Steam is down for me, and it looks like a lot of other players too. Don’t bother checking your connection, it’s not on our end. It seems like this keeps happening! They usually do maintenance on Tuesdays, and it went down earlier today as expected, but now it’s showing errors *again*. We actually reported on this earlier. Now the store is offline with *different* errors this time. Luckily, Valve is usually pretty quick to fix these things, so hopefully we’ll be back online soon! Fingers crossed.
Even Steam, a very reliable platform, occasionally experiences issues. This happened recently with the release of Silksong, which overwhelmed many online stores. While we can understand the strain, it’s still concerning to see Steam go down so frequently in a short period. It suggests there might be a bigger problem, and we’ll continue to provide updates as we learn more.
