Stardew Valley Switch 2 Edition Includes Mouse Controls, 4-Player Local Co-Op

In an exciting update, Stardew Valley will be releasing a version specifically for the rumored Nintendo Switch 2, boasting several extra features such as improved compatibility with a mouse.

According to the recent Nintendo Direct presentation, Stardew Valley on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 will capitalize on the new console’s features and offer mouse control options. This could potentially provide a better gaming experience compared to traditional gamepad controls. Interestingly, the Switch 2 Joy-Con controllers can be used as mice in certain games, offering finer control for players.

On the Switch 2, the updated version of the beloved farming simulation game will offer a multiplayer mode for four players in local split-screen cooperation. This means that up to three friends can join a cooperative play session using a single copy of the game through the Switch’s GameShare feature. The enhanced edition of Stardew Valley on Switch 2 is scheduled to release this fall.

Apart from Stardew Valley, it’s not just one game that’s getting a Switch 2 version. In fact, Nintendo has also announced updates for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, Overcooked 2, and Human Fall Flat, all set to release soon. Each of these games will leverage the unique capabilities of the Switch 2 in distinctive manners.

In the opening 20 minutes of its recent showcase, Nintendo honored Mario’s 40th anniversary by unveiling:

1) An upcoming movie titled “The Super Mario Galaxy”.
2) Remastered versions of both Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 for the Nintendo Switch.
3) A Nintendo Switch 2 release of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, set for 2023.

In addition to these announcements, they also confirmed a launch date for Metroid Prime 4 and additional DLC content for Donkey Kong Bananza.
