To celebrate the upcoming release of Toy Story 5, Starbucks is offering limited-edition collectible toys, and many customers are concerned they won’t be able to get their hands on them.
As a movie fan, I’ve noticed something really cool happening lately! It’s not new for movies to partner with food and drink brands, but it feels like we’re seeing a lot more of it now. Specifically, there are tons of awesome limited-edition popcorn buckets and special meals at fast food places tied to new releases – and I’m here for it!
Starbucks frequently partners with popular figures and brands to create buzz. Recently, they teamed up with MrBeast for a limited-time drink inspired by his show, Beast Games, and they’ve also collaborated with Hello Kitty in the past.
However, some of these partnerships have been very restricted, with the product only being available in a single country. This leaves Starbucks fans worldwide feeling disappointed and excluded.
Starbucks Korea gets Toy Story 5 collab
It seems Starbucks Korea is partnering with Toy Story 5 for a new collection! They’re releasing limited-edition merchandise around mid-April.
On April 7th, Starbucks Korea announced a collaboration featuring items inspired by the characters Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Forky, Slinky Dog, and the little green Aliens.
We’re introducing new items like tumblers, cups, cookies, sausage bread, and drinks. This collection is a special Starbucks collaboration inspired by the beloved characters from Toy Story.
Okay, so Starbucks is doing a Toy Story collab! As a gamer and a fan of Pixar, I’m super excited. They’ve got drinks, food, and a whole bunch of exclusive merch featuring all my favorite characters. It all drops on April 15th, so I’m definitely hitting up Starbucks to check it out. Seriously, Toy Story and coffee? Yes, please! #Starbucks #Starbuckskorea

Fans are disappointed they might miss out, as the news was announced directly on Starbucks Korea’s social media accounts.
Fans expressed disappointment online, with many noting the collaboration wasn’t expected to reach the US. One person wrote, “Crying in US,” while another lamented that the US “never get[s] any good collaborations.” Others pleaded for the product to be released in Japan and tagged their local Starbucks accounts hoping for a change of plans.
Right now, the Toy Story collection is only available in Korea, and supplies are limited, so you’ll need to be quick if you want to get it.
