Bryan Fuller, the creator of Star Trek: Discovery, recently praised episode 8 of Andor Season 2 as the most significant installment in the Star Wars franchise for 2025. The episode, which premiered on Disney+ on April 22, 2025, was a hit with viewers and features a strong cast including Diego Luna, Adria Arjona, Stellan Skarsgård, and Genevieve O’Reilly, among others.

Bryan Fuller praises Andor Season 2 Episode 8

Bryan Fuller, the showrunner behind Hannibal, recently praised the eighth episode of Andor’s second season, “Who Are You?”, in a recent interview.

Bryan Fuller, known for his work on various shows, recently lauded both the film Rogue One and its spin-off series, Andor. In an interview with ScreenRant, he called Episode 8 of Andor Season 2 “the most important TV episode of the year, and possibly for years to come.” Fuller explained he rewatched the episode multiple times, becoming deeply moved by the character of Mon Mothma and the actress Genevieve O’Reilly’s powerful performance, and felt she deserved awards recognition.

Season 2 of Andor was a big success, receiving a 97% approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 211 reviews. Audiences also enjoyed it, giving it an 89% score.

Although the first two seasons of Andor were very popular, the show won’t be back for a third season. Actor Ewan McGregor, known for playing Obi-Wan Kenobi, had previously shared his enthusiasm for the series. He mentioned watching Andor with his son and understanding why it had received so much praise, stating this at a Fan Expo in August 2025.

McGregor admitted he got carried away imagining he could appear in the third season of the show. He quickly realized it wasn’t possible, but jokingly suggested there might be a storyline happening concurrently that could allow for a crossover. He playfully appealed to Disney, suggesting they consider it as a possibility.
