Star Wars Officially Giving Away Free Games for May 4

May is going to be a great month for Star Wars fans! Leading up to May the 4th, you can enjoy the final episodes of Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord and see The Mandalorian and Grogu in theaters. Plus, gamers have a chance to join the fun with three new free-to-play games.

New gaming experiences have arrived in Fortnite! Lucasfilm and Epic Games have teamed up to release three free islands, each with a unique style of gameplay. You can find a complete list of what’s available right now below.

Galactic Siege

This game was created in collaboration with JOGO Studios. It’s a massive player-versus-player experience taking place on famous planets from the series, dropping players right into huge conflicts. Players will choose a side – the Rebels or the Empire – and work together in 10-versus-10 team battles. Think of it as a Fortnitestyle take on Battlefront*, complete with a roster of beloved characters you’ll recognize.

Escape Vader

This game, developed by Beyond Creative, centers around a terrifying encounter with Darth Vader. It’s a four-player cooperative experience where teams must work together to survive against the infamous Sith Lord, creating a truly frightening, horror-like atmosphere. Players experience the intense fear of facing a particularly dangerous Darth Vader from a first-person perspective.

Droid Tycoon

Okay, so I just checked out Droid Tycoon by FOAD, and it’s all about, well, droids! Basically, you get to build and customize droids from the Star Wars universe using actual blueprints. You’re also running workshops, trying to find rare parts, and completing missions. It’s a pretty cool experience if you’re a droid fan like me!

The excitement continues with the launch of Watch Party Island on May 19th at 10 AM Eastern Time. Developed by Fairview Portals and Beyond Creative, this island is located on Nevarro and offers fans a unique experience. Visitors can enjoy a special message from the director of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, Jon Favreau, and get an exclusive 10-minute preview of the film before it hits theaters on May 22, 2026. Players can also explore Nevarro and go on a Grogu-themed scavenger hunt.

On May 14th, a new update called LEGO Fortnite Odyssey arrives, adding Star Wars themed items like tools, vehicles, characters, and enemies to the game. Throughout May, new Star Wars Quests will be released each week, sending players to explore different islands and experience new stories. Completing these quests will unlock rewards based on iconic Star Wars elements. The Shop will also feature rotating Star Wars outfits and accessories.
