Star Trek Online Unveiled update launches with 15th Anniversary on February 11 for PC, March 11 for consoles

Game developer Cryptic Games revealed “Unveiled” as the title for an upcoming update for the popular MMORPG “Star Trek: Online,” set to release on February 11, 2025 for PC and March 11, 2025 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. This update will advance the game’s current main storyline and also kick off a special event to mark the 15th anniversary of “STO.” The game originally debuted on PC on February 2, 2010.

In an article about the upcoming event, Cryptic announced that the new mission for Star Trek Online: Unveiled will star Jonathan Del Arco, who played Hugh in both Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Picard. In this storyline, Del Arco will return as Hugh, a character who, within the context of Star Trek Online, leads the Borg Cooperative – a faction of the Borg that are neutral towards the Federation and its allies.

In addition to introducing the fresh story campaign mission, the premiere of “Star Trek Online: Unveiled” will also mark the commencement of a special event commemorating STO’s 15th anniversary. This limited-time celebration will run up until March 14, 2025 on PC.

For the 15th anniversary celebration, just like past anniversary events, players will be required to advance slightly every day by joining daily activities such as the ongoing “Royal Flush” team operation, a fresh story mission, or the “Omega Molecule Stabilization” minigame. In return for their participation, they’ll receive rewards, one of which is an exclusive Tier 6 Starship – the Garrett Command Alliance Dreadnought Cruiser.

This ship, known as the Garrett-class, boasts a unique design that combines features from Klingon and Federation vessels. Named after Captain Rachel Garrett of the U.S.S. Enterprise-C, it possesses advanced Command and Temporal capabilities, along with the deployment of fighter squadrons to support combat operations.

During our 15th Anniversary, an assortment of high-end starships will become available for purchase in the in-game shop. While Cryptic hasn’t disclosed the specific ships in this bundle yet, it has been confirmed that one of them will be modeled after the U.S.S. Ark Royal, a carrier ship design reminiscent of the one featured in the 2002 strategy game Starfleet Command III.
