The popular online game, *Star Trek: Online*, will get a big free update called “Unleashed” on September 23, 2025, for PC players. Console players will receive the update on November 11, 2025. This follows the release of the previous major update, *Star Trek Online: Unveiled*, which came out in February and March 2025.
The next chapter in the ongoing story of *Star Trek Online*, titled “Best Laid Plans,” will be released with the *Unleashed* update. Players will join forces with Hugh, the leader of the Borg Cooperative, and Seven of Nine to capture a key figure from the Aetherians – a powerful group that exists across multiple universes. Jonathan del Arco and Jeri Ryan, the original actors who portrayed Hugh and Seven in *Star Trek*, reprise their roles and provide the voices for these characters.
I’m so excited! Besides the new story content, the game is getting a brand new co-op activity called “Shattered Peace.” It sounds awesome – we’ll be teaming up with other players for space battles, defending Khitomer HQ from a huge enemy attack in waves! Can’t wait to try it out with my friends.
You can play *Star Trek Online* on computers, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The newest update, *Unleashed*, will be released on September 23, 2025 for PC and on November 11, 2025 for PlayStation and Xbox.
