The annual “Winter Wonderland” event is back in Star Trek: Online on PC and consoles, running until January 7, 2026. Players who participate daily for part of the event can earn a free Tier 6 starship and special currencies to trade for unique holiday rewards. Like past years, the event takes place in a winter-themed space realm hosted by Q.
This year’s special reward ship is the Fek’Ihri Vok’Tar Temporal Science Vessel. The Fek’Ihri are an enigmatic alien race linked to Gre’thor, the Klingon afterlife where dishonored souls suffer. Like all Fek’Ihri ships, the Vok’Tar appears to burn with hellfire, but this model has green flames because it’s designed for scientific research. Players can earn points towards getting the ship for free by logging in daily and participating in at least one Winter Wonderland event. It will take approximately 20 days of consistent participation to claim the ship.
Players can enjoy a variety of holiday minigames, like snowball fights with snowmen, a battle against the Snow Overlord in a gingerbread village, defending against an army of snow-borgs, icy footraces, and even ice fishing! There’s also a unique challenge against the Kramp’Ihri, a winter-themed version of the Krampus demon. Participating in these games rewards players with holiday ornaments they can trade for prizes, such as exclusive costumes, new equipment for both ground and space combat, and adorable cosmetic pets.
Exciting new rewards are coming to the 2025 event! Look forward to festive holiday sweaters, including a hoodie featuring Moopsy, the bone-drinking creature from Star Trek Lower Decks. Players can also collect the Sanctuary Cervidae, a cosmically-powered deer inspired by the creature from the finale of Star Trek Discovery. On the ground, new combat items let you summon the spirits of Gre’thor to control your enemies. And for space battles, a new personal trait will boost your ship’s damage when you use energy weapons of various types.
You can play Star Trek Online on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Winter Wonderland in-game event lasts until January 7, 2026.
