Cryptic Studios announced that a new Star Trek Online update, called Corruption, will launch with the game’s 16th anniversary event. PC players can access the update starting February 17, 2026, and it will be available until March 18, 2026. Console players will receive the update on March 10, 2026.
The latest update to Star Trek Online will feature a new story mission, bringing back characters from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Nicole de Boer returns as Ezri Dax, now a Captain in Starfleet, and will work with players to face a growing danger from the Chimerans – a new alien species introduced in the last story arc. Players can also team up with up to four friends in a new cooperative mission to defend the Federation’s MIDAS Array from a Chimeran attack. Plus, the popular Omega Molecule Stabilization minigame is back, offering players a chance to win prizes and materials to improve their equipment.
The 16th anniversary celebration will give players the chance to earn exciting new rewards, including a powerful new starship called the Empersa Alliance Juggernaut. This ship fights for the Khitomer Alliance – a team-up between the Federation, Klingons, Romulans, and Dominion. The Empersa is a Juggernaut-class ship, meaning it’s one of the biggest and most heavily armed vessels in the game. Its design blends the shipbuilding styles of the Dominion and Klingons. Players can unlock special abilities with the Empersa that inflict massive damage to enemies, though using these abilities will also damage their own ship.
You can play Star Trek Online on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game’s 16th anniversary event will begin on February 17, 2026, for PC players, and on March 10, 2026, for those on PlayStation and Xbox.
