The TV lineup for 2025 included Star Trek earlier in the year, but things are slow during the holidays. Luckily, LEGO is getting me excited for Black Friday with a first-of-its-kind collaboration. Get ready to build—the first Star Trek LEGO set is coming soon, so you can either use your replicator or get your wallet ready!
I’ve been hoping for this for a long time, and while I’d love to see a LEGO Star Trek game someday, I’m really excited about what’s coming this month. This set was definitely worth the wait, and if it’s a sign of things to come, I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Star Trek Is Getting Its First Ever LEGO Set, And It’s The Perfect Choice
For years, fans have been asking LEGO to create a Star Trek set, suggesting all sorts of ideas like spaceships and the Borg cube. Finally, LEGO chose what seems like the most natural starting point – the Enterprise-D and the crew from The Next Generation – and I couldn’t be happier with the result.
With Patrick Stewart potentially retiring from acting, maybe he’d enjoy building this impressive Star Trek set! It’s a large project with 3,600 pieces and includes nine characters. While it costs $399.99, having the entire bridge crew plus Guinan makes it a great value for fans.

I’m Psyched The Bridge Crew Is Included, And Love The Addition Of One Unexpected Character
Lots of new LEGO sets coming out for holidays, like those based on The Goonies or Lord of the Rings, are focusing on lots of moving parts and features. But I really appreciate that the Star Trek set keeps the ship and crew figures separate. I’d want to proudly display the Enterprise-D after building it, and I need to be able to send the minifigures on adventures – they can’t do that if they’re stuck inside the ship!
I was most surprised to see Data’s cat, Spot, included – I didn’t think he’d make the cut. I figured Ryker’s trombone was a given, but I honestly expected Lore to appear before Spot did.
It’s funny, but Brent Spiner, the actor who played Data on The Next Generation, actually found it challenging to work with the cat who played Spot, because the writers created complicated scenes for both of them. Luckily, the miniature figure of Spot should be much easier to direct.

Yes, The Top Does Detach
A surprising feature is that the top section of the Enterprise-D LEGO model actually comes off. While I figured it might since it’s a LEGO set, it seems designed that way so Star Trek fans can recreate scenes where the ship had to separate. Now we can accurately build the iconic moment from Star Trek: Generations, and remember more than just Data’s funny parts!
The new Star Trek LEGO set is launching on Black Friday, November 28th! It’s likely to be very popular with fans, so be ready to buy it as soon as it’s available.
