The highly-rated superhero series is currently filming its second season in the U.K. However, one of the show’s stars will not be returning after appearing in court on charges related to a fatal hit-and-run incident that allegedly occurred in October.
Ghetts, also known as Justin Clarke-Samuel, is a popular grime artist and songwriter. He’s received nominations for prestigious awards like the Mercury Prize and BET Awards, and won a MOBO Award in 2021. In 2024, he was honored with the MOBO Pioneer award for his impact on British Black culture. Recently, he gained wider recognition for his role as the villain Krazy in the series Supacell.
The show was quickly renewed for a second season on Netflix after becoming incredibly popular, racking up nearly 180 million viewing hours from June to December 2024. However, it’s still unclear which cast members will be back. Meanwhile, the actor Clarke-Samuel pleaded guilty in court on December 8th to causing the death of 20-year-old Yubin Tamang. The incident occurred on October 18, 2025, when Clarke-Samuel was speeding—more than double the 30mph speed limit—and hit Yubin, who was crossing the street. Yubin tragically died two days later from his injuries.
The actor is scheduled to be sentenced next February. He’s also been charged with causing death by careless driving while under the influence of alcohol, and will remain in jail until his sentencing hearing.

Okay, so we still don’t know exactly what’s going to happen with Clarke-Samuel’s character in season two of Supacell, but good news – they actually started filming way back in October! As a big fan, I’m so relieved to hear production is moving forward, even if we’re still in the dark about some plot points.

Supacell, created by Rapman (Andrew Onwubolu), features a talented cast including Tosin Cole, Adelayo Adedayo, Josh Tedeku, Nadine Mills, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Calvin Demba, Ghetts, Digga D, and Eddie Marsan.
