Sprite reportedly launching Arnold Palmer style tea that went viral on TikTok

It’s said that Sprite is planning to release a beverage similar to the popular Arnold Palmer drink, following its popularity on various social media platforms.

Ever since it debuted in 2016, TikTok has become a breeding ground for numerous viral sensations, particularly those centered around users experimenting with their preferred beverages to come up with something innovative.

As a passionate enthusiast, I’ve been captivated by two viral sensations that have recently taken the internet by storm! The first involves filling a glass with a luscious layer of marshmallow fluff, followed by the delightful addition of Coke. The second recipe is equally intriguing: it combines Coke with your preferred protein shake, creating a unique blend that’s sure to tantalize taste buds!

In 2023, there was a trend on TikTok where people posted videos of them combining Lipton Iced Tea with Sprite to make a drink that tasted like an Arnold Palmer (which is typically made with lemonade and iced tea). This became very popular on the platform.

It appears that the well-known soda company, renowned for its lemon-lime drink, has noticed this trend and is planning to make the “Sprite + Tea” version available at retail stores.

Sprite is launching new drink variant with tea included

At the start of January, Instagram user candyhunting shared an image showcasing the design of both bottled and canned beverages.

They described the taste as a “fresh fusion of Sprite’s signature lemon-lime zing and cool tea undertones,” and then shared that this new flavor would hit the shelves in Spring 2025.

The new flavor will also come in regular and sugar-free versions, making it enjoyable for those consciously managing their diets.

Enthusiasts rushed to comment sections to voice their opinions on the launch, expressing great anticipation for the long-awaited collaboration of flavors.

At last, they unite as I’ve blended them in restaurants for ages, according to one user.

Another said: “I’d like to try the Zero Sugar version of that. It’d be like a Fizzy Arnold Palmer.”

It looks like they’re jumping on the TikTok bandwagon. I wonder if McDonald’s will start serving Cotton Candy Sprite next?” said a third.

Sprite hasn’t just introduced a fresh drink flavor recently; they actually reintroduced the Aruba Jam Sprite Remix last year, but it was exclusively sold at Wendy’s fast food outlets in May 2024.
