Spotify is increasing subscription costs for some users, and experts believe these price hikes will likely continue.
Spotify’s premium subscription price has increased several times recently, and it’s going up again – at least for users in the United Kingdom – as of late 2025.
Sky News’ Money Blog reported on October 24th that some subscribers recently received notifications about a price increase of £1. According to the email, their monthly subscription will go up from £11.99 to £12.99 starting with their November bill.
Spotify is raising prices to fund improvements to its service, including new features and a better overall experience. Currently, the price increase only affects individual subscriptions; duo plans will remain at the same price, for the time being.

Spotify price in USA predicted for 2026
Spotify recently increased prices in the UK, following similar increases in other countries. While the US hasn’t seen a price change yet, experts believe that’s likely to happen soon.
J.P. Morgan analysts recently predicted that prices in the U.S. will likely rise by the end of this year or early 2026. Guggenheim made a similar forecast in August, though neither firm has specified exactly how much prices will increase.
Spotify has recently increased its prices in the US, both in 2023 and again in 2024. These were the first price changes the service had made since 2011, and they also adjusted the cost of their family plan.
Spotify recently made changes for free users, now letting them search for and play specific songs on demand.
I’ve been noticing a lot of buzz about this streaming service lately, and it’s a bit unsettling. Apparently, they’ve started releasing new “music” from artists who are no longer with us, and it’s made a lot of us fans really uneasy. It seems like they’re using AI to create this stuff, and honestly, it just doesn’t feel right.
