Split Fiction – How To Get Through The Underlands Piranha-Infested Water

The enchanting landscapes of Underlands by Split Fiction conceal hidden perils. As you progress through the game, you’ll encounter challenging obstacles like treacherous waters teeming with piranhas. Not all waterways are as simple to navigate as they appear at first glance.

In this stage of the game, the girls possess the ability to transform their shapes. Interestingly, Mio is secure in her ‘otter’ form, which, to our eyes, appears more like a lizard. Unfortunately for Zoe, she faces danger if she turns into a human, fairy, or tree while near water, as she would be at risk of being eaten by piranhas.

In less conspicuous areas, certain safe paths might not be immediately apparent. Initially, you’ll navigate through a brief platforming segment in piranha-infested waters until you reach a patch of dry land. Mio can swim through the water, but she encounters an obstacle where assistance from Zoe is required to lift a barrier. At this juncture, Zoe should perform a wall run on the left wall, though it’s understandable if you’ve momentarily forgotten that wall running is even a possibility.

If you’re finding it hard to reach the destination, adjust Zoe so she faces the center of the wall, perform a dash-jump to move as far ahead as possible, then wall run before another dash-jump to the next platform. From this spot, Zoe should transform into a tree and utilize the wall sections for grappling from point to point until you reach the next secure platform.

Upon arriving, you’ll encounter a massive boulder obstructing your path. The tree named Zoe possesses the strength to move the rock aside so Mio can pass. At this point, Mio needs to transform into her gorilla form to shatter the fallen log. Once she reaches safety, Zoe should release her grip on the colossal stone which will then smash its way through the barricade.

Following a brief interlude, they must continue their journey again. They should progress through the platforming part until you reach a point where you peer over a vast ledge onto a circular pond of water. Zoe has the ability to transform into a fairy and glide over the water to the flower stream that will transport her safely across the water. As for Mio, in her gorilla form she should utilize the pink leaves to swing across to the water, then promptly shift into her otter form as she leaps into the water. In this instance, she can swim securely through an underwater passage between the rocks.

After a short while, the waters teeming with piranhas approach. Zoe must first grapple onto the left wall, then swiftly transform into her fairy shape for flight, heading towards the blooming streams that will lead her to safety. Meanwhile, Mio can also use the grapples before metamorphosing into an otter mid-air and swimming through to the next area.

Following further exploration involving platforming and a series of puzzles, Zoe and Mio encounter another stretch filled with dangerous piranha waters. In this situation, it’s Mio’s responsibility to move a massive plant stalk that Zoe is holding onto to keep her safe from the water. Additionally, they’ll face some fresh adversaries: carnivorous flowers. Initially, all Zoe has to do is slide up and down the stalk to avoid these flower predators.

Upon arriving at the platform, Zoe should step onto it and metamorphose into a tree. By grabbing the flower bud on the wall, she triggers the flowers to retreat, thus enabling Mio to transport the stem to the next area. Afterward, Zoe can change back into her fairy form, allowing her to swiftly fly through and catch up with the stem again.

In the upcoming space, Mio should move the nearby stem near the flowers on the right side. This will allow Zoe to swing over them and latch onto the second stem that’s already stationed there. As soon as this pole starts sinking in the water, Mio should circle around and transport the first stem along with her so that Zoe can connect to it.
