dotMake Studios has officially released Splintered on PC through Steam. The indie game developers kept their word and delivered the complete version of their pixel RPG, which takes inspiration from the original Dragon Quest, within the promised timeframe.
This update finishes the main story with the addition of the final two chapters. It also includes enemy stats in the Enemy Codex and a new challenge called the Trial of the Rogue. Completing this trial unlocks roguelike elements within the game’s randomizer, adding more replayability.
The patch notes for Splintered version 1.0 are listed below. The game supports both English and Japanese languages.

Splintered is officially launching today after being in Early Access! To mark the occasion, the game is 30% off for the next two weeks. Here’s a quick look at what’s new in version 1.0:
v1.0 Main Features:
Chapters 4 & 5
This concludes the story of Splintered! These final chapters also complete the game’s randomizer, bringing it to its full potential.
Okay, so in Chapter 4, the gear is crazy! You can snag stuff from any time period, which means you can build some seriously weird and powerful ability combos. It’s awesome!
Chapter 5 introduces a system that randomly assigns abilities to equipment, creating even more diverse and unique item builds.
Trial of the Rogue
Aedma’s 4th Trial that brings a new and challenging way to engage in the randomizer!
Aedma has given you the power to shape your destiny! Every time you improve your character – gaining stats, spells, or abilities – you’ll be presented with three different options to pick from!
However, such power must come with an equally fitting challenge: Permadeath!
Completing the Trial of the Rogue will unlock both of these features for the randomizer!
Enemy Codex
Head to the Enemy Codex (in the Bestiary menu) to view the stats of any enemy you’ve slain in game!
…And more!
Thank you!
Now that Splintered’s Early Access period is over, I want to sincerely thank everyone who contributed to making the game what it is today!
To everyone who has been following the game, participating in Early Access, joining the Discord, posting on the Steam forums, and more – thank you! These past seven months have been amazing, and I truly appreciate all your feedback, support, and excitement. I’m so grateful you joined me on this incredible journey.
I hope you enjoy the new content and I can’t wait to hear what you think!
