I was so excited to see Netflix finally drop the new animated series, Splinter Cell: Deathwatch! It’s awesome to have Sam Fisher, the main guy from the Splinter Cell video games, back in action. And get this – while we were waiting for the new show, the classic Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow actually popped up on Steam after being unavailable for 21 years! It’s a great time to be a Splinter Cell fan.
Pandora Tomorrow used to work on Windows 7, but now it’s available on Steam for Windows 10 and 11 too. The game’s story connects to the animated series Deathwatch by introducing Sam’s friend, Douglas Shetland. His death continues to affect his daughter, Diana Shetland, who later becomes a major villain in the series.
Right now, you can get the Splinter Cell Legacy Collection on Steam for just $19. It includes these games:
- Splinter Cell
- Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow
- Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
- Splinter Cell: Double Agent
- Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction
- Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist
Derek Kolstad, a key creative force behind John Wick and the showrunner for Deathwatch, recently discussed the series and the return of Sam Fisher with TopMob. He’d previously explained that making the animated series required significantly reimagining the original material, but they focused on preserving the core character and emotional impact while building a compelling new story.
While a completely new Splinter Cell game isn’t currently in the works, a remake of the original is being developed. We haven’t heard much about the remake since it was first announced in 2022. Recently, Ubisoft did add Steam achievements to the 2013 game, Splinter Cell: Blacklist.
