8 squads participated in the initial high-tier Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) LAN competition of 2025, known as the BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 1 Finals, held at the BLAST Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark. This tournament produced some surprising outcomes, with well-known teams like Team Falcons failing to qualify for the playoffs and powerhouse squads such as Team Vitality, NAVI, and G2 Esports missing out on reaching the final match.
In a stellar performance at the BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 1 competition, the number one team globally, Team Spirit, lived up to expectations, defeating HERIOC and NAVI both 2-0. This impressive run has propelled them into the championship finale.
Across the bracket, underdogs Eternal Fire from Turkey astonished fans of Team Vitality with a dominant 2-0 victory, eliminating one of the favorites. They further demonstrated their prowess by defeating G2 Esports 2-1, advancing to the grand final.
In the opening round of the best-of-five championship match during BLAST Bounty’s 2025 Season 1, Eternal Fire took an edge-of-the-seat victory on Anubis with a hard-fought 16-14 scoreline that needed overtime.
