Spider-Noir is now available on Amazon Prime, offering a fresh and distinctive spin on the familiar Spider-Man story.
No matter which Spider-Man you prefer – whether it’s Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, Tobey Maguire, the animated Miles Morales, or any other version – there’s a Spider-Man out there for everyone.
If you’re a fan of classic detective stories and Spider-Man, then Spider-Noir is a must-watch! This new animated series, now available on Amazon Prime, is already generating a lot of buzz with its first season.
So, here’s what happens in the show, and whether we’ll be getting a second season.
Spoilers for the end of season one are ahead.
Ending explained
Cat starts by apologizing to Janet for betraying Ben, and explains her plan to give the antidote to both Flint and Dirk.
Silvermane orders a hit on Ben Reilly, hoping to capture him and learn the Spider’s location so he can use the antidote and defeat him. However, Silvermane doesn’t obtain the antidote himself; instead, he asks Ben to contact the Spider, and the Spider agrees to bring it along. During this exchange, Dirk recognizes Ben as a fellow soldier from their wartime platoon, leading Silvermane to realize Ben must be the Spider, as everyone in their platoon developed powers.
Ben explains he rescued the Spider, but doesn’t have any superpowers. This prompts Silvermane to threaten Cat. Because Ben is still recovering from his fight with Tombstone and can’t use his abilities, Cat is forced to delay Silvermane while revealing she orchestrated the fire at his mansion – all because she’s in love with Flint.
After learning this, Silvermane almost shoots, but Spider-Man – Robbie being inside the suit – arrives just in time, letting Cat grab the gun away.

Silvermane proposed an alliance with the Spider, but was rejected, leading to a fight where Robbie was injected with the antidote. They then tried to expose the Spider’s identity, only to discover it was Robbie himself. Meanwhile, Ben had regained his powers and recovered the antidote, setting the stage for another major confrontation.
During the struggle, Dirk accidentally breaks the antidote. Both he and Flint are then overwhelmed while Cat defeats Silvermane in the lounge. Dirk attempts to use electricity against Ben, but Cat intervenes, and ends up getting shocked herself. Flint tries to subdue Dirk, but Dirk kills him. Immediately after, Ben retaliates by throwing Dirk in front of an oncoming train.
Soon after, Cat receives the final dose of the antidote, but Flint is near death. Surprisingly, they both pull through. The story then shifts to Silvermane’s funeral, where Cat tries to apologize to Ben, but Ben refuses to accept it.
Okay, so the scene shifts to Ben and Robbie hanging out on the fire escape, watching the Mayor try to get re-elected. They’re cracking jokes – about Robbie maybe starting his own newspaper, Morris actually winning, Flint finally getting a date, and Janet getting a better office. Then, as they’re heading out to grab something to eat, Janet gets a call, and it’s for “Reilly and Ruiz Investigations” – things are definitely starting to get interesting!
Will there be a season 2 of Spider-Noir?
At the time of writing, there’s been no official word about a Spider-Noir second season.
Despite the current conclusion, the show’s creators are open to continuing the story, telling The Hollywood Reporter they would “definitely be interested in doing more.”

Uziel, a co-showrunner on the series, told Collider that the beauty of a detective show is its ability to continually reinvent itself. All it takes is a new client and a fresh case to launch a new season and adventure, meaning the show could potentially run for as many seasons as the creators desire.
The final phone call in the season finale definitely hints at a continuation of the story, and hopefully we’ll see Ben Reilly return in a second season.
