Okay, so the first trailer for the new Spider-Man game dropped, and everyone’s going wild trying to figure out if there’s a hidden X-Men character in it. It’s not who you’d expect though – it’s not Jean Grey, which is what a lot of people were thinking!
The first trailer for the upcoming Marvel and Sony film is finally here, and it reveals a big change for Spider-Man (Tom Holland): he’s now able to create webs organically. The trailer also hints at appearances by The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) and Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo).
Sadie Sink, known for her role in Stranger Things, will be in the movie, but her character remains a secret. The studio hasn’t revealed much about what she’ll be doing, leading to speculation that she might play the popular mutant Jean Grey before the X-Men officially become part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Despite this, many fans believe a hidden cameo by the X-Men is actually present in the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer, and it’s easy to miss.
Fans think X-Men hero Rogue is in the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer

Eagle-eyed Marvel fans have noticed someone who bears a striking resemblance to the X-Men character Rogue in the trailer for the upcoming ‘Brand New Day’ content. During the scene where Spider-Man collides with the bus amidst the tank battle, a person dressed in green with a distinctive white-streaked, dark hairstyle – a look commonly associated with Rogue – can be seen on the left side of the screen.
It would be unusual for Marvel to cast Rogue in an X-Men movie after featuring her in a Spider-Man story and then showing her in a trailer, but it wouldn’t be the first time a studio made a surprising trailer reveal. Remember when Warner Bros. showed off Doomsday in the Batman v Superman trailer years ago?
The trailer sparked a lot of excitement among fans who thought they spotted Rogue from the X-Men, leading one person to excitedly post on X (formerly Twitter), “I think I saw Rogue! Are the X-Men finally coming?”
Social media users noticed something odd in the Spider-Man trailer: what appeared to be the character Rogue. One person joked about being upset over ‘crumbs’ hinting at her appearance, while another wondered if it was actually Rogue from the online retailer Temu. Despite the surprise, there’s a possibility—even if it’s just a quick nod—that Rogue could appear in the upcoming ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ movie.

Fans of the Spider-Man animated series from the 1990s likely recall the storyline in Season 2 called “Neogenic Nightmare.” In this arc, Spider-Man’s abilities become unstable, and he begins to lose his human side.
The film builds to a scene where Peter Parker becomes Man-Spider, sparking speculation that this could lead to the character appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans believe this transformation, combined with storylines from the comics like “The Other” and “Changes,” might be the way Marvel introduces Man-Spider to the MCU, especially since the footage shows Peter naturally creating his own webbing.
So, what about Rogue? Fans have been asking! Well, you might be surprised to learn that Rogue and the X-Men appear in episodes 4 and 5 of “Neogenic Nightmare.” Spider-Man goes to the X-Mansion hoping they can help him with his mutation, and Rogue ends up flirting with him, even playfully calling him “cute, in a creepy way.”
Okay, so I don’t think we’re gonna see the whole X-Men team drop into Brand New Day, but it’d be awesome if they at least included Rogue, maybe as a little Easter egg referencing that “Neogenic Nightmare” arc from the old cartoon. Honestly though, that feels like a long shot.
