Okay, so the full trailer for the new Spider-Man movie, Brand New Day, is finally here, and I’m losing it! It looks like Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is actually shooting organic webbing now – like straight from the comics! That’s a huge change and I’m super excited to see how it looks in action.
The film starts a few years after everyone forgot Peter Parker existed, following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. He’s now secretly fighting crime as Spider-Man, protecting New York City, and even faces off against the villain Scorpion (played by Michael Mando), who first appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming nearly ten years earlier.
The new trailer has sparked debate among Marvel fans, largely because the studio released very short clips of footage over 24 hours before the full trailer dropped. This caused a lot of discussion and close examination of details, like Peter Parker’s new suit and a shot that intentionally mirrored his very first comic book appearance in 1962.
Marvel has officially released the complete trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and it appears the reports about organic webbing were true!

The initial trailer for the new Spider-Man movie, “Brand New Day,” reveals Peter Parker is changing again. His spider-powers are developing, and he now appears to be able to create webs naturally, without needing any special devices. This is reminiscent of Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man, who surprised other versions of the hero in a previous film by also being able to create webs organically.
The trailer shows Peter Parker encountering the Punisher (Jon Bernthal), who actually runs him over with his van. This marks Bernthal’s return to the role of the Punisher, having previously played him in the Netflix series Daredevil and The Punisher, as well as the upcoming Born Again season. We also see a quick glimpse of The Hand, the ninja organization from the Netflix shows, as they briefly fight Spider-Man.
Okay, so the trailer wasn’t just about Frank Castle showing up! We also see Bruce Banner, and it looks like Peter’s going to him for help with everything that’s happening with his… changes. There’s this creepy voiceover too, talking about spiders having ‘three lives’ and that Peter Parker is about to go through some kind of ‘rebirth.’ It’s seriously setting up something big!
Adding to the complexity, Zendaya’s character, MJ, briefly appears, encountering Spider-Man on a rooftop and Peter at a party. These moments will likely be emotionally difficult, as she doesn’t know Peter is Spider-Man. It’s clear she’s continued with her life and is now in a relationship with someone new, played by Eman Esfandi.
