Though armies play a role, their effectiveness is limited if your economic status isn’t robust. Therefore, expanding your settlements is a strategic move. As these towns develop into cities, they expand in size and yield more resources, promoting growth. The growth process is also connected to Specialists – civilians who can further enhance your districts, but they come with certain drawbacks.

How to get Specialists in Civ 7

In the later stages, specialists become increasingly vital. This is because the Science Legacy Path mandates their presence. But, how can we acquire them?

As we progress, specialists take on greater significance. This is due to the Science Legacy Path requiring them. So, what’s the strategy for obtaining them?

As your city expands, you can increase its boundaries, shown in green. This allows you to collect resources from adjacent areas or construct buildings there. Alternatively, you could use these valuable points to develop Urban Districts (represented by a building) colored blue. These districts will generate a Specialist for you. Although they are beneficial, be careful not to overdo it with them.

You should be aware that while Specialists enhance your Science and Culture, they also decrease your Food production and Happiness level. It’s crucial to keep your Food supply high as it helps your settlement expand. On the other hand, low Happiness can lead to rebellion.
