You can get the complete Sonic Prime series on Blu-ray for over half off! It originally cost $50 when it came out in June, but is now just $24.26 at Amazon if you apply the coupon. If it’s sold out there, Walmart has it for $27.

If you want to own all three seasons of this Netflix animated series on Blu-ray, the Complete Series Steelbook Edition is the only way to do it. While the first two seasons were previously released on Blu-ray individually, the third season hasn’t been available on Blu-ray until now. Sonic Prime starts with a huge disaster: the world breaks apart because Sonic ignores his friends’ warnings while fighting Dr. Eggman. Now, he has to journey through different worlds to set things right. During his travels, he meets alternate versions of his friends, and they’re the ones who can help him save everything.

Honestly, this show is a blast, especially if you’ve got younger siblings or kids. It’s packed with crazy multiverse stuff and a ton of action, and they’re gonna love it. I think it’s really geared towards them, but I enjoyed it too!

Sonic the Hedgehog Animated Series

Sonic Prime is the sixth animated series featuring Sonic the Hedgehog. If you’re a fan and want to own all the shows, you can find the earlier series on DVD and Blu-ray. Sonic actually starred in two animated shows back in the early ’90s: Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, which was very silly, and Sonic the Hedgehog, which had a more dramatic tone for a cartoon.

Following up on previous shows, *Sonic Underground* was another unusual take on the Sonic the Hedgehog story. This series introduced Sonic’s siblings, Sonia and Manic, and the trio used the power of music to fight the evil Dr. Robotnik and take back their kingdom. Interestingly, all three hedgehog characters were voiced by the same actor, Jaleel White – best known for playing Steve Urkel on *Family Matters*!

Okay, so looking at more recent stuff, there was the Sonic X anime that aired back in ’03 and ’05. Then, in 2014, things really changed with Sonic Boom – that was when they switched to fully CG animation. If you’re looking for a deal, I just saw the Sonic Boom Super Pack on DVD for only $11.68! It’s a 6-disc set with over 12 hours of episodes from the show, which is awesome.

If you’re looking for fun, family-friendly movies, the Sonic the Hedgehog films are a great choice – just avoid any potential release of the infamous “Ugly Sonic” version! They’re packed with comedy, action, and really cool character designs. You can find special steelbook editions of all three movies, including the one with Keanu Reeves as the voice of Shadow. While the steelbook for the Knuckles miniseries is no longer available, you can still own the show on 4K Blu-ray, and it fits nicely between the second and third Sonic films.
