Songs of Glimmerwick demo is now available for PC via Steam

Eastshade Studios has released a demo for their game, Songs of Glimmerwick, on Steam for PC. Originally announced in 2022 and previously planned for a 2023 launch, players can now try out a playable version. The full PC game is expected to launch later this year, and console versions will follow shortly after.

Currently, this demo is only available in English. However, the studio recently announced that they’ll be adding support for several other languages – including Simplified Chinese, German, Russian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, and Japanese – in an update coming this month.

You can find a copy of the demo release announcement after the jump right below.

Hey everyone, the demo is finally out! I’m so excited for you all to try it. I’m really hoping you have a blast, but more importantly, I’d love to hear what you think. We’ve put together a feedback form – seriously, even a quick few minutes of your time would be amazing and help us make the game even better before the full release. We’re using this demo to polish things up and make sure it’s the best experience possible. If you want to chat with other players or share your thoughts directly, come join us on our Discord! Or, if you prefer, you can always email feedback to [email protected]

We’re working on a major update to address several issues, including a potential problem that could freeze the game in the Swish and Stitch tailor shop. We didn’t want to include it in the demo because it was still a bit unstable, but it’s coming soon!

We know players use many different keyboard types, so we’re working on new default key settings to better support those layouts. We expect to release these changes in the next few weeks. Plus, we’re planning a major localization update within the month, which will add support for several new languages.

  • Simplified Chinese

  • German

  • Russian

  • Spanish (European)

  • Brazilian Portuguese

Happy demoing everyone!

Danny
