Atsushi Kaneko shares cryptic social media post about ‘what the world is waiting for’
On November 2nd, Atsushi Kaneko posted a message on X (formerly Twitter) hinting at an upcoming announcement, saying he wanted to make people wait just a little longer. He included a cartoon of a green frog carrying a flag and a bag marked “Happy Other News.” The image, similar to a meme created by artist @HirenCloud, quickly became popular, receiving over 70,000 views and 80 comments on X.
The post quickly sparked excitement among fans, who thought it might be a hint that Season 3 of Solo Leveling was coming. One fan playfully urged Kaneko not to keep them waiting too long, while another expressed their willingness to be patient for the announcement, enthusiastically calling for Season 3.
The second season of the anime ran from January to March 2025, following Sung Jinwoo as he grew stronger as the Shadow Monarch. The season concluded with the “Recruitment Arc,” setting the stage for what comes next. This comment from Kaneko comes eight months after the season finale, which previously won Anime of the Year at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards.
Last month, the author of Solo Leveling hinted at new projects being developed, and news broke about a live-action Netflix series with actors already chosen. A recent post by Kaneko has further excited fans about these upcoming projects, although no official release dates have been announced.
