SPANISH SALON

It’s been confirmed that SkyShowtime is currently producing its upcoming comedy series, titled “Nails“. This marks the third original series they have commissioned in Spain.

This act of defiance ultimately leads to the creation of The Free Women’s Club, a sanctuary designed to support other women in overcoming their difficulties.

The series, shot in both Madrid and Bilbao, boasts an impressive ensemble cast that includes Cristina Castaño (known from “Toy Boy”), Marimar Vega (“Las trampas del deseo”), Gracia Olayo (“La Mesías”), Teresa Cuesta (“Machos Alfa”), Fernando Tejero (“La que se avecina”), Javier Antón (“Vaya semanita”), Juanjo Cucalón (“Amar es para siempre”) and Raúl Mérida (“Regreso a Las Sabinas”).

BOXERS BASH

Netflix is progressing with “Bloodhounds” Season 2 from Studio N, featuring returning stars Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-yi playing their roles again as boxing partners Gun-woo and Woo-jin. Actor Jung Ji-hoon will be joining the cast as a new adversary, Baek-jeong, who heads an illegal boxing circuit.

In June 2023, Season 1 of this series became a global hit, appearing in Netflix’s Top 10 charts for 83 different countries. The show centers around a crime-fighting duo who, instead of pursuing loan shark operations, now take on an international illegal boxing ring.

In this new tale, the characters formerly known as Mr. Plankton and The King: Eternal Monarch reappear, now transformed into principled fighter Gun-woo and his partner Woo-jin, played by Lee. Meanwhile, Jung steps into the role of an antagonist for the first time, portraying Baek-jeong, a figure who lures our protagonists into the shadowy world of underground boxing.

Kim Joo-hwan remains both director and writer for the upcoming series, with Seven O Six and Ghost Studio collaborating on its production. This show is adapted from a webtoon of the same title by author Jeong Chan on the platform, Naver.
