The popular Skate video game series is back this week, and it’s free to play after being on hold for 15 years. Players are now exploring the city of San Vansterdam and uncovering hidden features. One player has already discovered a funny trick: if you clap while falling, you can slow your descent to a very slow pace!
A Reddit user named SurWesley discovered a trick in the game where you can control your fall after jumping off the M-Corp building. To do this, players need to press and hold the emote button while they are falling. SurWesley also found that using the ‘Third Eye’ emote can make your descent slower.

The issue in Skate might be fixed in a future update, but it’s also possible the developers will leave it as is since it doesn’t ruin the gameplay experience.
Skate lets players roam four neighborhoods transformed into massive skate parks after the company M-Corp left the city of San Vansterdam. The game has quickly become popular on Steam, with over 78,000 people playing at the same time, and that number is still growing. To handle the surge in players, EA has implemented server queues.
