The new Avengers storyline, Avengers: Doomsday, is bringing together heroes from across the entire Marvel Universe – even characters that used to be part of 20th Century Fox! It’s a really big deal, and the latest additions to the team fighting Doctor Doom are the original X-Men from the early 2000s. That’s exciting news for fans, and especially for Jennifer Lawrence’s nephew!
Okay, so the new teaser dropped on January 6th, and honestly, it gave me chills. Seeing Professor X and Magneto, played by Sir Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen, just sitting there playing chess… and then holding hands? Powerful stuff. It quickly cuts to Cyclops unleashing his optic blasts, which is awesome. I’m a little bummed we didn’t see Mystique or Nightcrawler, but I’m hearing Nightcrawler might be preoccupied with some internal drama, dealing with people who’ve turned against him. It definitely leaves you wanting more!

It looks like Doctor Doom is becoming the big threat used to bring together all the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s multiverse saga. Alongside established heroes like Thor, newer characters from teams like The Thunderbolts and the new Fantastic Four, as well as heroes like Ant-Man, Captain America, and Shang-Chi, will be facing off against him.
