Just as ABC announced the show’s return, Sinclair announced it will replace *Jimmy Kimmel Live!* with local news on its stations. Sinclair says they’re still talking with ABC about potentially airing the show in the future. This move isn’t surprising, as Sinclair, along with Nexstar, another major broadcasting company, wants to see how Kimmel addresses a previous issue on his show before committing to air it. Previously, Sinclair had asked Kimmel to apologize to the family of Charlie Kirk and donate to his organization as a condition for broadcasting the show again.
