Konatsu Kato, who played Hinako Shimizu in the game Silent Hill f, has finally finished the game after streaming her playthrough live for several months.
So, I was playing this horror game recently, and it was wild knowing the person behind the main character! Kato, the voice actress, did way more than just the voice work – she did the face scanning and all the motion capture. She started streaming herself playing it on her YouTube channel on October 24th, 2025, which was kinda meta, seeing her experience the nightmare she helped build. Even though she was only streaming in Japanese without subtitles, people from all over the world were tuning in to watch! It was seriously cool.
After streaming for over two months, Kato completed her playthrough of Silent Hill f on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2025. The final stream was particularly successful, gaining 846,591 views as she spent over four hours navigating Hinako’s house and defeating the game’s last boss to reach the first ending.

Kato bought a PlayStation 5 specifically to play this game, and while they weren’t experienced with gaming, they chose to play on the normal difficulty setting. This was even after the developers added an easier mode to help new players.
Viewers praised the actress’s recent gaming stream, with one calling it a challenging but impressive five-hour session, and expressing hope she’d continue to be so determined in the future. Another viewer shared that finishing the game with her on New Year’s Eve was a perfect end to 2025.
The 26-year-old actress has had a demanding year, particularly due to her role as Hinako, which generated a lot of discussion among fans. She previously revealed the part was so emotionally draining it felt like she was losing her grip on reality.
Even so, she later won the award for Best Performance at the 2025 Horror Game Awards and has since partnered with PlayStation for a special clothing line.
Although the actress playing Hinako has finished playing Silent Hill f once, the characters of her parents within the game are only starting to experience the terrifying world Konami created.
