If you’re stuck, you might be facing the mural puzzle, which can be confusing because the clues aren’t always obvious. It requires you to figure out where to place three crests in the correct locations.

How to solve the mural puzzle in Silent Hill f

After the fight with your parents in Silent Hill f, you’ll come across the mural room. Before you can solve its puzzle, you need to explore the area and find three crests: the Fox, the White Bird, and the Black Bird. Once you have all three, head back to the mural room to begin solving the puzzle.

You’ll find clues on either side of the mural. These will be saved in your journal for easy reference, so you won’t have to keep returning to look at them.

The most important clue to solving this puzzle is the one on the left. It describes a scene where a black bird tries to capture a white bird, but the white bird fights back. A fox, leading a group, walks by, completely unaware of the birds’ struggle.

Okay, so here’s the deal with these crests. I need to put the Fox one with my leader character, but the White and Black Bird crests? They need to be somewhere *completely* separate, like on the front lines where the fighting is happening – definitely not anywhere near where my leader is looking!

Put the Fox crest in the space where the leader is holding a fan. Place the White Bird crest in the slot on the lantern held by the fox in the center-top of the artwork. Finally, put the Black Bird crest on the back of the fierce-looking fox that’s close by.

Once all the emblems are in the right spots, the wall will vanish, opening a doorway that lets you move forward. But don’t celebrate just yet – there are still a few challenges left before you can finish the game.
