The PC version of *Shuten Order*, a game from EXNOA (DMM Games), Spike Chunsoft, and Tookyo Games, has received its first update. An update for the Nintendo Switch version is coming soon.
This update resolves problems with Windows language and regional settings that were affecting the Steam version of the game. It also improves the English translation for the Ministry of Health route and other areas, corrects issues with v-sync, and includes other improvements. This is the first in a series of updates to address localization problems, with more fixes planned. These updates will be released for the Nintendo Switch version at a later time.
You can find the Shuten Order version 1.0.1 patch notes from Spike Chunsoft below:
The following issues have been addressed in this update:
- Fixed an issue related to Windows Language and Region settings that would cause blackouts or extended loading times.
- Fixed an issue preventing progress in the Ministry of Science route.
- Fixed an issue where toggling Vsync ON/OFF in the Options menu would still display as ON.
- Corrected several minor typographical errors in Japanese text.
- Revised the English translation for the Ministry of Health and certain other routes.

Shuten Order is out now on Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam). You can find my comparison of the game on Switch 2, Switch, and PC handhelds here, and Cullen’s complete review here.
