Showdog Studio Options Sci-Fi Thriller Series ‘Wunderland,’ James Thorpe on Board as Showrunner (EXCLUSIVE)

Showdog Studio acquires rights for “Wunderland,” a fresh sci-fi suspense TV series, penned originally by Christopher DeWan, who will also script the pilot episode.

James Thorpe, who has won an Emmy for his producing work, is set to oversee the show “Wunderland” as its showrunner. He will also serve as executive producer alongside John Attard, founder of Showdog Studio and a seasoned producer. Other producers on the project include Robert Harris, Suzanne Lyons from Snowfall Films, and Robert Deege.

The story revolves around teenager Cora Carter, who finds solace from her actual problems within “Wunderland,” a virtual game introduced at her school. As she uncovers secrets in the higher levels of the game, influential figures pursue her in both realities. This gripping, ongoing teen mystery unfolds in a small town, as Cora unearths a series of clues that bring her closer to understanding the truth about her mother’s sudden vanishing.

Attard expressed his admiration for every aspect of Christopher’s story in ‘Wunderland,’ stating this in a released statement. As we step into a fresh year, it’s clear that our lives are undergoing continuous change due to technology. Regardless, the essence of any tale about technology lies in its effect on mankind. We’re excited to welcome James as showrunner, eagerly anticipating how the boundary between reality and virtuality in ‘Wunderland’ will be portrayed.
