Shovel Knight Dev’s Next Game Mina The Hollower Delayed, But Not For Long

Yacht Club, the team behind the popular game Shovel Knight, has announced that their next game, Mina the Hollower, will be released after its originally planned Halloween date. They say the delay won’t be long, but they aren’t ready to announce a new release date just yet.

Our team has decided to postpone the release of Mina the Hollower. In a post on our website, we explained that everyone has been working incredibly hard to finish the game by October 31st, but we need a little more time. It’s not a big delay – we just want to add some finishing touches and make sure the game is as polished and balanced as possible before launch.

Even though the delay isn’t long, Yacht Club wants to wait until the game is approved on all platforms before announcing a new release date. Right now, they’re putting the finishing touches on the game’s design, artwork, sound, gameplay, translations, and testing – and enjoying some cheese!

The studio stated they want to give their development team the necessary time and resources to create a fantastic game.

After achieving great success with Shovel Knight in 2014, Yacht Club Games is now launching its first completely new franchise, Mina the Hollower. But they haven’t been idle – they’ve also been creating a lot of additional content for Shovel Knight, including new campaigns, and have developed spin-off games like Shovel Knight Showdown and Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon.

Mina the Hollower is a game reminiscent of classic Zelda titles, featuring a similar visual style. You play as a small mouse in a world populated by animals, and she has a unique ability: she can dig underground to overcome obstacles, solve puzzles, and sneak up on enemies.
