A fantastic action series from *Shonen Jump* that many fans love is returning this fall for a highly anticipated final arc. Created by Yūki Tabata, this series is set to deliver an epic conclusion.
The latest issue of *Weekly Shonen Jump* announced that three new chapters of *Black Clover* will appear in *Jump GIGA 2025 Autumn*, set to be released on October 30th, 2025. These chapters will continue the final fight between Asta and his enemies, signaling the approaching conclusion of the series, which began in 2015. A preview promises an exciting return, stating, “Entrusted with his comrades’ feelings, Asta rises again with a roar!!”
Black Clover Returns: Asta’s Roar Signals the Start of the Final Battle
Between February 16, 2015, and August 21, 2023, over 360 chapters of *Black Clover* appeared in *Weekly Shonen Jump* magazine. However, the author, Tabata, found the weekly schedule increasingly difficult – a challenge many popular *Shonen Jump* creators face. As a result, the final arc of *Black Clover* moved to *Jump GIGA*, a magazine published quarterly.
Tabata, the creator of *Black Clover*, explained that the demanding weekly schedule was becoming difficult to maintain. He’d been talking with his editors for a while, and they’ve decided to move the manga to *GIGA* magazine, according to a post by @/nite_baron on X.
This change might come as a surprise, and I apologize for not finishing the story in *Weekly Shonen Jump*. I feel I can better complete the climax of *Black Clover* with *GIGA*, given my current circumstances as a writer. I still have many important scenes I want to create, so I hope you’ll continue to follow along. I’m committed to bringing *Black Clover* to a satisfying ending!
The *Black Clover* manga is getting closer to its ending, but the story isn’t finished yet! After a break since 2021, the *Black Clover* anime series is starting up again. Season 2 will be produced by Studio Pierrot (known for *Naruto* and *Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War*) and will be available to watch on Crunchyroll outside of Japan.
There’s no official release date for *Black Clover* Season 2 yet, but details were shared at Anime Expo 2025. The original *Black Clover* anime series ran from 2017 to 2021. A movie, *Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King*, came out in Japan on June 16, 2023.
You can watch the *Black Clover* anime series and movie on Crunchyroll, Netflix, and Hulu. If you want to read the manga, check out the Viz Media and Manga Plus apps for both new and older chapters.
