Netflix has released the first teaser for the murder mystery series “The Residence.”
Starting March 20th, the Shondaland series will make its debut on Netflix. Uzo Aduba portrays Cordelia Cupp, a detective tasked with solving a murder at the White House. This gripping story is adapted from a book by Kate Andersen Brower with the same title. The series spans across eight captivating episodes.

The tagline for this show is ‘132 rooms, 157 suspects, one corpse, one quirky detective, and a chaotic State Dinner – all unfolding within the White House, a mansion known to many, filled with an unusual assortment of staff.’ This is a humorous murder mystery series taking place in the residence of the White House.

Paul William Davies serves as the head and chief producer for “The Residence.” Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers, representing Shondaland, are executive producers through their Netflix partnership. Additionally, Paul Davies himself has a broader agreement with Netflix.
This production represents the most recent joint effort of Davies and Rhimes. Earlier, Davies developed the legal drama for ABC titled “For the People,” a project under Shondaland. Additionally, he contributed as a writer to the popular ABC show “Scandal,” a creation by Rhimes herself.
