Shayne Topp excites fans with first-ever non-Smosh YouTube upload

Fan-favorite personality from Smosh, Shayne Topp, surprised followers by publishing his initial solo YouTube video on his private account.

Over time, Shayne Topp’s fame has soared significantly, making him one of the prominent figures on the YouTube channel, Smosh, where he’s been a regular since 2015.

For the past ten years, followers of Topp have been requesting that he post individual videos on his own YouTube channel, since he has thus far only uploaded two Vine compilation videos (which have since been removed) on his personal account.

2025 marked a pivotal point in my fandom journey when Shayne Topp, a familiar face from the Smosh realm, took a step into the limelight with his very first solo video, posted on February 9th.

Shayne Topp explains why it took him a decade to upload

In my latest YouTube upload, I named it “I’m a Content Creator,” where I shared some ideas about the kind of videos I’m pondering over for my channel.

He stated, ‘All I really want is to enjoy myself doing this,'” he said. “Now that I’ve arrived, though, I’m unsure about the next steps. I haven’t quite figured it out yet, but I do have a few potential plans in mind.

Initially, Top presented a lineup of seven potential YouTube video subjects he’s pondering over, such as psychological concepts, literary discussions, product appraisals, and an amusing exploration of consuming a solitary grape.

Topp explained that he had been delaying uploading videos beyond the Smosh world because he always found “excuses to postpone.

He expressed that the concepts he had planned for his channel were growing increasingly difficult to execute. The expectations continued to climb higher and higher – they demanded depth, humor, and success, all while outsmarting the algorithm. Eventually, he admitted to feeling overwhelmed and giving up on the ideas.

People rushed to comment sections, expressing their opinions, as numerous fans were thrilled about the subjects that Shayne discussed in the video.

Could I be a booktuber? Your obvious passion for reading really reignited my own interest in it, after not touching a book for over a decade,” they expressed.

Another commented: “‘Single Grape Mukbang’ is so f**king funny to me, idk why”

“Booktuber Shayne would be so powerful,” replied a third.

We’re unsure when another solo video from the Smosh star will be released, yet it’s evident that fans eagerly anticipate fresh content from this popular influencer.

Apart from his most recent action, Shayne hasn’t taken a more significant step in the past year. However, on April 1, 2024, this influencer surprised fans worldwide by announcing his marriage to Smosh co-star Courtney Miller.
