Battlefield 6 proved to be a commercial success with strong sales. However, some creators feel overlooked. Marcus Lehto, a developer on the game, expressed his disappointment on LinkedIn that he and his former team at Ridgeline Games weren’t credited in the final game credits.

The developers who built the core of this game spent one to two and a half years working on it, but the studio closed shortly after I left. Despite their hard work, most of the team members who were let go only received a brief mention in the game’s end credits, and some, including myself, weren’t credited at all. The original post emphasizes that game development is a collaborative process and everyone who contributes deserves proper recognition.
I was really interested to hear about the development of Battlefield 6 (or whatever it’s officially called now!). Apparently, the team at Ridgeline Games, with Marcus Lehto leading the charge, was working on the story campaign for a good while. But last year, a key developer left, and then Electronic Arts went through some changes, handing the project over to Criterion. What really bothered me, though, was that EA apparently didn’t think some of the developers deserved credit in the game! Thankfully, Marcus Lehto stepped up and published his own list to make sure everyone who contributed got the recognition they deserved.

Marcus Lehto began his career in the gaming industry in the 1990s and has since become known for his work with Bungie. He contributed to popular franchises like Halo, Destiny, and the game Myth: The Fallen Lords.
