Security was unexpectedly breached at the brokerage, and two men disguised as butlers managed to get inside The O Group on a day when most of the team was at the office. They announced Bre’s Galentine’s Day party with a musical performance. While it seemed like a fun event with promises of Botox and fire dancers, everyone realized it was actually the start of a conflict between Mary and Chrishell’s groups. Emma, Chelsea, and Chrishell smartly turned down the invitation, and the show spent a considerable amount of time showing the other women pretending not to care.
Mary isn’t just missing in action right now; she’s also threatening to quit the brokerage, which Jason is desperate to avoid. It’s obvious she’s trying to get Chelsea removed from the show, just like she did with Nicole. The problem is, Chelsea is diplomatic – she avoids people she dislikes and only responds when directly challenged, acting like a reasonable person. But Mary wants Chelsea gone because she, along with Chrishell and Emma, seem to be a tight-knit group, and this really bothers her. It’s like she’s resentfully watching them from afar, plotting and fuming with envy.
G Flip seems to sense trouble and is urging Chrishell to leave and start a family in Australia. While Australia has its perks – like better healthcare – it’s also home to some seriously huge spiders, which is a bit unsettling! Chrishell is hesitant, and understandably so. She just landed a big real estate deal – a $28 million listing with a potential commission of over $800,000 – and a move to Australia would be a long trip. It’s ironic, because the danger G Flip is worried about seems to be where they want Chrishell to go.
Sandra is trying to stir up drama, but she’s not very successful. She attempts to get Chelsea to talk about her problems with Bre while showing a house in Hermosa Beach, but Chelsea quickly shuts it down, clearly annoyed. Then, Sandra tries the same tactic with Chrishell at a $28 million listing – a major misstep. Chrishell isn’t easily manipulated, and she immediately turns the tables. She shows Sandra a photo of her assistant, who used to be Sandra’s neighbor and claims Sandra once vandalized her car. The reason for the vandalism is unknown, but it’s clear this woman is capable of almost anything.
Later, Sandra told Mary about the situation, adding that Chrishell hinted she was holding back some information for a later time. However, we didn’t see Chrishell say this on the show, and Sandra’s version of the conversation felt unnecessarily harsh. She exaggerated Chrishell’s behavior in a mean-spirited way, which Mary found amusing, but seemed to worry Amanza. While Amanza is clearly on Mary’s side, she seems like a genuinely good person who doesn’t fully grasp what’s going on with all the drama.
The Galentine’s party is a disaster. Mary completely falls apart when she sees Chelsea’s name on a place card. It seems Bre doesn’t bother checking who’s actually coming and just sets the table for everyone she invited, which is completely chaotic. But that kind of behavior is apparently normal for Mary and her friends, who are involved in strange, unsettling rituals. What’s funny is that Bre doesn’t seem to realize she’s being used. She thinks she’s helping Mary, but I think Mary is manipulating her, turning her into the next person sent to fix a problem Sandra couldn’t even begin to solve.
Emma, Chelsea, and Chrishell are skipping the strange events happening in the mountains and instead having a Galentine’s dinner. Emma even wore a dress covered in heart-shaped balloons! They chatted about their careers and how much they just want to enjoy life. The conversation was delightfully chaotic – Emma’s dog meows, Chrishell and G are looking into sperm donors, and Chelsea keeps mentioning wanting to be a single mom despite being very wealthy! They made a toast to their future, filled with success, happiness, love, and financial independence. They laughed, drank, and deliberately avoided looking at the ominous clouds gathering over the mountains, choosing to ignore the unsettling sounds coming from the ancient caves below.
Unlisted Observations
This season of Selling Sunset was fantastic, and I’m glad the producers are putting effort into a reunion that promises to be good. I’m really looking forward to it!
This $37 million property is being marketed as a luxurious retreat for the ultra-wealthy – the kind of place where someone could afford daily deliveries of expensive smoothies, despite not needing to worry about everyday costs. However, despite the high price tag, it’s surprisingly unremarkable and even unattractive.
The description of Chelsea’s beach house highlights that it’s hardly been used – the owner only enjoys it for personal fun and parties. Honestly, that’s exactly the kind of use that should be celebrated! Meanwhile, Sandra wasn’t paying attention and just flopped onto the sofa in front of the TV, even resting her face on a pillow. It’s a bit unhygienic, really.
There are some fun connections happening! Nicole is relocating to Nashville, the city where Taylor Swift resides. Plus, Chris Appleton’s daughter is named Kitty, which is a nod to Taylor’s cat. I’m completely losing it over all the possible connections!
I’m not happy Chelsea has a boyfriend until I’ve met him and decided if he’s good enough for her. As for Emma, she’s hoping Blake will change completely so they can get back together, but that’s not going to happen, so I’m not going to worry about that situation.
At Chelsea’s Galentine’s dinner, she hinted that Sandra only recently got her real estate license, which supports my suspicion that Sandra is working against us.
Okay, let me tell you, I’m not wishing anyone harm, but the thought of Chris Appleton accidentally breaking his nose in a truly ridiculous way – apparently by diving onto what he thought was a bed but was actually just a piece of wood – honestly cracked me up. It’s just a genuinely hilarious mental picture, and I’m not even a little bit sorry to admit I’d have found it funny.
Alanna had a very quiet season, mostly just ending up unintentionally part of Mary’s goblin army. It makes you wonder about Davina – at least she was actively involved in the story.
